Christmas with..well.. Everyone!

(all of the Wilcox grandkids, you have no idea how hard it was to get everyone to stay still..and not cry...hah)

This year, like every year, was full of lots of food, presents, and family. Scott and I always sit and reflect on the last two days every Christmas night, and we always say that "next year, we're going to relax and enjoy the holiday". Not that we didn't enjoy ourselves this year and all of the prior years, we just mean that we're constantly running around to houses on my side of the family, then over to his side of the family, and we never get to sit and relax....nevertheless we had a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve we started out over at my parents house where they had all of the Wells side of the family over for dinner and our traditional "white elephant gift exchange". Scott says that I'm terrible at the game because I always get too enthusiastic about the gift I pick, and then it ends up getting stolen from me. Yet again..the same thing happened. I first ended up with movie tickets and I was so excited for a date with Scott, and my cousins boyfriend stole it back from me (I don't blame him, since I originially stole it from them). Anyway, once a gift is stolen twice it's considered "frozen" and that person is stuck with the gift. I then picked the movie Dark Knight, and showed my enthusiasm for it once again...and got it stolen this time by my older brother..thanks a lot! I ended up with a mini vacuum for my car by the end of the night..and I have to say, I was pretty excited. (those of you with kids know how messy cars get with crumbs, dirt, etc). After we left we went to Scott's parents where they had all of the Obergs over (My mother-in-laws side of the family) We ate a wonderful dinner and exchanged gifts again (yes..we had 2 dinners). Christmas morning we woke up bright and early and opened our gifts at home. Trent got a powerwheels mini ATV which he LOVED and crashed into everything, along with a basketball hoop, and some other toys from us. We went to Scott's parents afterwards, opened presents, then off to my parents to do the same. We got to rest for a little bit of the afternoon before heading out to Clovis to Scott's grandparents, where we had Christmas with the Wilcox side of the family. We were all exhausted by the time we got home, but had a very Merry Christmas!

Love all the pictures, looks like you guys had a great Christmas! And I totally understand how you feel about going from house to house for 2 days, we do the same thing and its so exhausting, especially for the poor kids!
