Extreme Makeover...

OBSESSION!!

So for any of you living under a rock in Fresno, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was here building a home for a VERY deserving family. I'm a fan of the show, and I was so excited to hear they'd be here in town. They showed up to surprise the family on Thursday Jan 8th, knocked the house down on Saturday (spectators weren't allowed) and Sunday was the 1st day people could stand and watch. I decided to go with my neighbor/friend Sarah on Monday and I was so surprised that in less than two days this house was already stuccoed, and the roof was on...amazing!! I was hoping to see Ty but he was in Texas shooting another family's story (I never knew that they tape two episodes at a time) so he didn't return to Fresno until Wednesday, the day before the big reveal. Anyway, I liked watching them build the house so much that I returned Wednesday morning with Sarah, my sis-in-law Kimmy and Susan a girl from church. I was disappointed that I didn't get to see any of the design team, but so happy that I was staring at 99% completed house from the outside. Later that day I learned my mother-in-law wasn't happy with Kimmy and I for going to see the house without her, so we decided to take ANOTHER trip back...yes this was my 3rd time going back. This time it was a success...I GOT TO SEE TWO OF THE DESIGNERS WOOOOOHOOOO!!!

But...ladies and gentlemen..this wouldn't be my last time at the house. Later that evening my sis-in-law Lori wanted to go, so my mother-in-law, two sis-in-laws and I went back for my FOURTH time. Now you see why I labeled this post as "Extreme Makeover Obsession" right? Anyway I had a great time all 4 times. Sadly I couldn't go the next day to the "move that bus" day, because I obviously had Trent to care for and there was no way a 15 month old would sit in a stroller all day waiting in a crowd of people...no matter how many cookies I had for him.

Birthday & Camera Fun!

Yesterday we celebrated Scott's 29th Birthday and his sister Kimmy's 25th birthday, yes that's right..they were born on the same exact day 4 years apart, and it's tradition to celebrate both birthdays together w/ the whole fam. We went to California Pizza Kitchen and then back to his parents for cake and ice-cream. I also happen to get my new camera in the mail yesterday that I've been anxiously awaiting for 2 weeks! It's a canon rebel xs..so nice!

Anyway, I felt like the paparazzi taking pictures all night, but I was so excited to do it! So here's some pictures I took of the night, and also some of a little "photo shoot" I did today in the front yard..well not really..I just took Trent out front and started snapping pictures.

We are diehard Fresno State baseball fans and for the past 4 years, going to games has been our absolute favorite thing to do together

3 Years Down...

Eternity to go!

Today, January 6th, Scott and I have been married for 3 years. It really seems like we've been married for much longer, not in a bad way, It just seems like so long ago that this amazing man WASN'T in my life. We started dating at the end of November in 2004, we got engaged at Pismo Beach in May of 2005 and we were married for eternity in the Fresno LDS Temple on January 6, 2006. Most of you know how Scott and I started dating, but I'll refresh your memory just in case. I had known Scott since I was in elementary school, considering his little sister Kimmy was my bestfriend, and we went to church together. I'd go all through my junior high and highschool years just thinking of Scott as Kimmy's Hot older brother(since he's almost 5 years older than me)..and I'm sure Scott thought of me as Kimmy's annoying but CUTE (I like to think so, at least after my awkward early 'Tween' stage) little friend. Once I was 19, I worked at a local restraunt that Scott and his family frequently visited. Scott at the time was living in Sacramento, so on the weekends when he was in Fresno, he'd come in and visit. It never was wierd, since he was JUST Kimmy's Brother, until ONE day when he came in I noticed he was looking at me in a different way..an uncomfortable "im checking you out" sort of way. From that day forward I avoided him out of discomfort...why was Kimmy's brother looking at me that way? Keep in mind, I always had a mini crush on him..he was too good looking. I stopped working at the restraunt and Scott now had no way of seeing me or talking to me...until he slyly asked Kimmy what I was up to. Kimmy suggested he call me so we can "go to church together" (Scott's idea..I love the excuse) on the Sunday's he was in Fresno. He made the drive from Sac to Fresno Every Sunday and went to church with me. He then decided to take me on a real date, and we've been together ever since. 1 year of dating and 3 years of marriage have been the best years of my life. We've lived in 3 different places, bought a lab named Macy, and Had a beautiful little boy 15 months ago. He's amazing and I can't imagine life without him. I've gained my bestfriend as a sister-in-law and two other amazing sis-in-laws, as well as a wonderful mother-in-law and father-in-law...I'm extremely blessed!

So here's to an eternity of happiness, Happy Anniversary Scott, I love you!
