How can you deny that God exists? Ever since the day Trent was conceived, I couldn't believe that such a miracle was growing inside of me...I loved him so much and I hadn't even met him yet. The day he was born, I realized that being a wife and a mother is 100% my purpose in life. My favorite quote is "I never knew how much love my heart could hold until someone called me mommy", and it's exactly true. For those of you who are mothers, you can relate to that quote, for those of you who aren't mothers yet, I can't wait until you can feel that love inside of you, it's amazing.

The other day I was in our room changing the linens on the bed, fresh out of the shower with Trent (I don't just let him run around in a diaper in the middle of winter I promise), when he decided he wanted to have a chat on the phone. He was going on and on for 5 minutes when I realized, I should probably video tape him. I wonder who he learned this from?

We've been meaning to cut Trent's hair..it was way too long, but Scott has been so busy w/ tax season, that we never were able to get all 3 of us to the barber shop. And since one of us has to hold Trent while he's getting his hair done, I was a little iffy on doing it alone. I had finally had enough, so after Trent's jibber jabbering on the phone, just the two of us went to get his hair cut. I just gave him a sucker, and he was perfectly still...and not to mention sticky!

It's a cupcake from a place called "Cupcakes" of course!

This is my absolute favorite place to go to for dessert right now. A new cupcake store opened here in Fresno, and it sells cupcakes, and cupcakes only. They have so many different varieties and they're AMAZING!! Scotts two favorites are the German Chocolate one, and the Carrot Cake. Mine are the traditional yellow cake mix (shown above) with Chocolate Buttercream frosting, the carrot cake one w/ cream cheese frosting, and the lemon w/ lemon buttercream frosting. Those are the only ones I've tried, so they're all my favorites. Today I spent the day w/ my mom and Trent since it's right during tax season and Scott was up at the office. We got some cupcakes to go so that Scott would have a nice treat to come home to. You have to go early though, these cupcakes run out, especially on holidays like today!

Valentines Day was absolutely perfect for us. My mom and dad got us a gift card to this Asian Bistro place called Red Door. It's like PF Changs but we like it a lot better. Anyway, we went there tonight and they were offering a special menu with a 6 course meal, which was WONDERFUL! I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful man in my life..and such a handsome little boy. Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

DO-DA DO-DA!!

Every morning when Trent wakes up, we have a routine...warm milk, laying on a pillow on the family room ground and watching Dora The Explorer, Handy Manny, or Wonder Pets. In the past Trent could care less what was on T.V. but just within the past month or so, he's really taken an interest in shows like Dora, Handy Manny, Wonder Pets and Ni Hao Kai Lan (A comperable Chinese Version of Dora The Explorer).

I think it's the bright colors and the fact that the characters actually talk to you and ask you questions to answer. I've recorded several of these shows to keep on our DVR just in case I need to get stuff done around the house without a tornado following me around and undoing everything I've already done. I ask him if he wants to watch Dora, and his response " DO-DA DO-DA" and runs into the family room and hops up on the couch. As soon as he see's Dora's Backpack he yells "ba pa ba pa" and when he sees the map he says "maaaa". As long as Trent isn't hooked on the TV (which he isn't, he'll only sit for about 20 min without moving around) I'm fine with him watching these shows because they teach him new words, and eventually he'll learn the Spanish Words Handy Manny and Dora teach, and maybe even the Chinese words Ni Hao Kai Lan teaches. Yay for "Do-Da!"

Past few weeks..

So I've been bad at updating our blog. To be honest the pictures take a long time to download onto here and I just haven't had the time to sit and wait for them to load. We have a new computer, so I know it's not our computer, must be the website. Anyway here's what we've been up to.

• Two weekends ago I decided to go and visit my long time friend Lindsay up in Mountain View where she's living. I hesitated on leaving behind my husband and son to go and spend a girls weekend with friends, but decided I desperately needed a mini vacation. It worked out perfectly because my friend Tina's birthday was that weekend too, so I got to reunite with old friends, whom I've missed dearly. I left on a Friday, went out to eat that night with Linds, and then Saturday we went out with Tina and friends to celebrate her birthday. Sunday I made the drive home, and was extremely anxious to come home to my handsome boys.

• Trent had his 15 month checkup about a month ago and weighed in at a whopping 22lbs..haha sense the sarcasm on the WHOPPING part? but he was 32 inches tall (above average). The Dr. said he is one healthy little boy who is going to be thin and tall ...better than short and fat for a boy right? Anyway, the Dr. said he was passing all of his milestones with flying colors, and was ahead developmentally in several areas..that's my boy!
  
  
• This past week Trent and I went to visit Scott's cousins wife Jaclyn and her little boy Cameron, who is a month older than Trent. We let the boys run around in the backyard, while I tried to take pictures with my new camera.....man it's hard taking pictures of running toddlers.

• Last but not least, Trent got to play at Oso de Oro park with his cousins Tyler, Sydney and Byron this past Friday. Trent was just EVERYWHERE, he LOVED the park.

• In just a few short days Trent will be 16 months, I can't believe how fast our little boy is growing up. I love hearing all of the new words Trent is saying, everyday he is saying something different.
