Hurricaned out of Cabo

**LOTS of pictures ALERT!!
Scott and I went on a much needed Cruise. We were scheduled to go on a 5 day cruise, spending 2 days in Cabo San Lucas. Before boarding the boat we were handed a letter from the captain stating there was a hurricane outside of Cabo and they were monitoring it and that we may have to be re-routed to another destination. The next morning the captain informed us the hurricane had turned into a Category 4 hurricane (a big one) with 150mph winds and we wouldn't be able to stop there, so we were re-routed to Ensenada Mexico and Catalina Island. We were a little bummed, but were excited to go to Catalina since we'd never been there before. I think we would've been really upset if we'd never been to Cabo in the past, but since we've been there before, we made the best of our trip and relaxed relaxed relaxed! One day I won a massage, a HOT STONE massage at that! It was absolutely amazing! We watched every single show they had on the boat, played games, layed out on deck and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather. Everyday was no hotter than 90 degrees with ocean breezes. We didn't experience hurricane weather at all where we were, it was absolutely perfect! We brought two cameras with us on our trip, our little $200 camera and our big nice $600 camera, well dummy me used the little cheap camera because the big one was too bulky to carry around. As a result we ended up with blurry pictures (little did I know there was a huge smudge on the lens), oh well, we had an amazing time, and are thankful for both of our parents for watching Trent while we were gone. We decided that 6 days is a couple of days too long to be without our little guy, we missed him terribly!

Leaving San Diego headed out to sea on Day 1

We set a tradition of taking a picture before dinner everynight..

We ate 5 course meals everynight and we took many trips to the all you can eat buffet tables during the day!

Day TWO, enjoying the weather

FORMAL NIGHT on the cruise!

We tried capturing the beautiful sunset behind us but were unsuccessful

where we ate lunch several times, at the back of the ship right over the water, amazing!

nightly pic before dinner! Day #3

Catalina Island Day #4

REALLY wished I would've used our nice camera, these pictures would've turned out 100% better. Anyway this is on a pier in Catalina Island

We rented a golf cart to explore the Island, this is a MUST for anyone traveling over there, it's a fantastic way to see the Island and to capture breathtaking views!

Catalina below us

Theres our boat way down below!

Surprisingly Scott didn't drive crazy, I think we both were just relaxing enjoying the weather and views

Nightly pic before dinner #4

At the Blowhole "La Bufadora" in Ensenada Mexico

My Love and I

The open air markets in Ensenada...bargaining anyone?

stopping for some lunch at Habana Bananas in Ensenada...eating on the 3rd story of the restaurant, what a view!

Again thanks to the crappy camera we used, this pic didn't turn out clear, but there was a slide from the 2nd story of the restaurant down to the 1st story as a way of transportation, it was quite a bumpy but fun ride!

Me and Habana Banana Monkey

There's many "Farmacias" or Pharmacies in Mexico, I told Scott to smile with the Viagra man, and he posed instead, funny!

Me, the Viagra Man, and the bright orange tourist sticker, lovely! :)

Off to dinner on our last night! :(

So fun Megan! Sounds like although you got rerouted that it all worked out! Glad you guys got to have a vacation and were safe! I'm hoping we can do another cruise next year for our 11th anniversary...my whole being pregnant this coming December changed up celebrating our 10th!:)

Austin and I did the Catalina Island and Ensenada cruise for our honeymoon. It wasn't the most fun for us, but maybe it's because we literally got off of the boat for like 30 minutes each time and that's it. I love cruises though!

For having a smudge on the lens, you guys got some great pictures and it looks like you had so much fun. So CUTE!! I've actually never been to Mexico, and hope to someday soon. Of all the places you've been in Mexico, which one is your favorite? Glad you had a good time and made time for some romance! (Oh, did you get to use any of the Spanish that Sra Tinker's cats taught us?)

Kristen, we had lots of fun in Catalina, we would go back for a weekend there. Ensenada there isn't much to see besides the blowhole, but oh well we still had a good time. Chester, out of all the places we've been Cabo and Mazatlan are my favorite, probably Mazatlan more than Cabo just because it's not so americanized. As far as Senora Tinkers teaching, all she taught in that class was Hola and Adios, what a waste of time :)

I could look at your cruise pics over and over again. Love them, you look so beautiful in the dinner ones. You guys have really given me the itch to go!! Maybe when this baby is a year we could! It's such an affordable way to travel. Just looks so relaxing and nice...and not to mention all the good food you don't have to cook!
