Getting you Caught Up

I've been terrible at updating my blog lately, mainly due to the holidays and running around. So here's a quick update of what we've been up to since Thanksgiving.
December 2nd was my 25th birthday.  I felt young at 24, but for some reason when I say "25" outloud, it seems very old to me.

Scott Brought me home some beautiful flowers, and took me to a nice dinner at Dai Bai Dang, then we went to see The Blindside...AMAZING movie..we just loved it!! That Sunday my mother-in-law made me some chocolate cupcakes with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting...HEAVEN!

Christmas was a crazy one this year, as it always is. We always have so much running around to do, but we're so thankful both of our families live here in Fresno so we're able to spend the Holidays with everyone. It was fun to have Scotts sister Amy in town with her 4 kids and husband Matt from Utah. 8 kids 5 and under in one home Christmas day was crazy but so much fun! It was fun to watch Trent open presents, and he seemed to understand the concept of "Santa" as much as a 2 year old can.

(P.S. there are SOOO many more Christmas pictures, but this is sadly the only one of the 3 of us)

New Year was pretty low key and uneventful. We just went to dinner with the Wilcox side and hung out talking til midnight...it's called New Years with kids! :)
January 6th was Scotts and my 4th wedding anniversary...we've been together though for 5. Sometimes it seems like so much longer (in a good way) and sometimes it just feels like the other day that we were being married in the Fresno Temple for eternity. I couldn't have asked for a more loving man to marry, and I can't wait to celebrate years and years of anniversaries together.  We celebrated by going out to a local family owned steakhouse called Lime Lite...it's our favorite, a little pricey though so we don't get to go there often.  Since our visits are few and far between we indulged with an appetizer, steak dinners, and chocolate peanut butter cheesecake for dessert.  We had agreed to no gifts for each other and we were supposed to put the money we'd spend on one another in a pot that will soon go to a Disneyland trip with Trent....Scott of course didn't abide by the rules!! He gave me a beautiful white and black diamond necklace, making me feel awful I didn't have anything but a nice card for him..but a few looks at the necklace made me get over that pretty quickly :)

Two days later on January 8th we celebrated Scott's 30th birthday..yes I'm married to an old man! jk babe :)
It just so happened to be his little sister Kimmy's 26th birthday (4 years apart and born within 2 hours of each other) so it was fun to go out to dinner at the Outback with the family and back to the house for cake and icecream!

(Kimmy w/ Funfetti cake  Scott w/ German Chocolate cake)

Right around the corner is Valentines Day..so many occasions in so little time, but it's so fun to celebrate them all! 2010 is off to a great start so far, and we hope it brings much joy to our life as well as yours!

Megan, you guys have been busy! I love catching up on your blog, even though you never post! But I love your pictures and the updates on your life. And I LOVE that you got a diamond necklace! Those surprise gifts are they best, but sometimes hard to come by, aren't they? :) Happy Late Anniversary; you guys make such a cute couple.
